If a spot opens up in their midfield, Stach could be a suitable option.
Stach started his career with VfL Osnabruck II and then moved up through the ranks, playing for SSV Jedeloh and VfL Wolfsburg II before joining Greuther Furth in the second tier and finally Mainz in the top flight in 2021.
A year later, he made his debut for the German senior national team after representing them at the under-21 level and in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Stach has appeared 17 times for Hoffenheim, primarily in the defensive midfield position.
Newcastle had hoped to strengthen their midfield in January due to Sandro Tonali’s suspension, but no deals materialized. However, they may revisit their plans to bolster their midfield in the summer, especially with Tonali becoming eligible again.
Stach could be one potential target, but Newcastle United has also been considering other players.
